About the role

Cover Genius are seeking a dynamic, driven Client Solutions Engineer. You’ll report to the regional senior Client Solutions Engineer. This is an opportunity to join a growing team and make a significant contribution to helping Cover Genius achieve our revenue targets.

The role presents significant opportunities for the right candidate, given Cover Genius’ global recognition, excellent track record and hockey stick growth. We are looking for self-starters that are passionate about new technology and innovation, that have a “can do” attitude and who work well within startup environments where needs and roles can change quickly. Needless to say, we are not your average insurance company!

Cover Genius is looking for a creative, entrepreneurial and strategic thinker with a passion for technology. Working closely with our Partnerships and Partner Services teams you will support the CSE to articulate and showcase the value of our product offering.

Client Solutions Engineers are critical in both securing partners in a pre sales capacity right through to post implementation and the ongoing success of our partnerships. If you feel at home developing your own MVPs but relish the opportunity to meet with clients in a commercial and solution development capacity, then you’ve found the right place.

What does the ideal profile look like?

  • Scope each partner engagement, with attention towards clear and well-defined objectives and success criteria
  • Work with the CSE to assist with new partnership opportunities, prepare technical sales material, develop proof of concepts (POCs) and support demonstrations to win new business
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of Cover Genius’ product technology and underlying architectures by troubleshooting, reproducing, determining the root cause for customer reported issues
  • Use SQL, Google BigQuery, Google Data Studio and related technologies to identify and present actionable business growth opportunities to partners
  • Support multiple partner engagements concurrently, supporting the key partner contact CSE, while developing Ensure timely and successful integrations through managing internal stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for improving process, make recommendations and implement changes through automation of activities to optimise client engagements
  • Be able and willing to travel 10-20% of the time (once ability to travel lifts)

Attributes & experience:

  • BS degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years experience in multiple modern programming languages such as Python, Node, and PHP.
  • 3+ years of experience with web technologies such as HTTP, HTML, JSON, etc.
  • Some customer-facing experience in sales, support, or service.
  • Strong strategic, analytical and tactical skills; must be able to navigate plans then roll up your sleeves and get things done
  • Experience in managing technically complex products in a B2B technology environment
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing Good presentation and organisational skills

Nice to have:
  • Experience in insurance products and/or B2B e-commerce marketing experience
